FILTRATION SAND & GRAVEL

GARNET FILTRATION MEDIA

Garnet is a high-density water filtration media used to remove fine particulate and to keep the silica bed static during rigorous backwash. In a multi-media filter, garnet sand is the finest layer and is located below the filter sand layer. Due to its high specific gravity, the garnet remains in its position in the filter even after backwashing. Course Garnet sizes are available for support layers.

Red Flint Sand & Gravel’s Garnet Filter Media is chemically inert non-metallic mineral that is known for its hardness and durability. The high specific gravity and its chemical and abrasive resistance make garnet ideal for water filtration.

Red Flint offers a variety of high-density garnet medias that meet your projects’ specifications. We offer almandite-type and andradite-type garnets. Available in sizes #8 to #80. Packaging in 50 lb. bags or super-sacks.

Whether your needs include standard products or something not attempted before in Garnet Media processing, Red Flint Sand & Gravel will Deliver optimum project results with respect to your Garnet Media requirements.
